## Stages
1. **Initial Interest or Hyperfocus**: Individuals with ADHD often exhibit intense interest or hyperfocus on tasks or activities that capture their attention.
2. **Overcommitment and Overactivity**: They may overcommit themselves to multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, engaging in impulsive behaviors.
- Idea of quitting job, starting 3D model, a lot of goals I planned for 2024
3. **Stress and Strain**: Pressure from juggling tasks and executive functioning deficits can lead to increased stress, overwhelm, and anxiety.
-
4. **Decreased Focus and Productivity**: Stress can lead to a decline in concentration and productivity, making it difficult to complete tasks.
- Started to sacrifice sleeping early and workouts to keep up, but that's only making it worse as I'm not properly energizing my body
- Experienced great friction during work that I used to still not enjoy but still do anyways
5. **Withdrawal and Avoidance**: Individuals may withdraw socially, procrastinate, or seek distractions to cope with feelings of inadequacy.
- Not as social at work during events or when I'm around people
- Procrastinate as I'm not properly equipped to face the uncertainties of writing
- Distractions with a lot of Instagram Reels, YouTube, and Reddit 🤩
6. **Burnout and Exhaustion**: Chronic stress results in burnout, characterized by profound exhaustion, apathy, and emotional depletion.
- Very exhausted at the end of each day
7. **Recovery and Rebound**: Gradual recovery involves implementing self-care, seeking support, and reintroducing structure into their lives.
- The step I am on right now
- Seek to support group if I need anything
- Self-care just by prioritizing sleep, diet, and exercise
- Starting at the beginning again [[The Deep Life Stack V2#Discipline]]
- Reintroducing structure by trying out more realistic and ADHD-compatible techniques (find in [[ADHD Types]])
8. **Return to Hyperfocus**: As they recover, individuals may experience bursts of hyperfocus, restarting the cycle.
