## Principles

One of the developments was [[Formula of Humanity]]
But why?
![[The One Rule for Life#^d9f8ur]]
[[Self-actualization is a moral obligation]]
Similar results as [[Utilitarianism]] but is different since in CI it is valued through objective reason. The goal is just to have a logical theory that makes sense. This is because this theory was created to preserve and value human rationality as it is what makes us unique and meaningful:
![[The One Rule for Life#^ut7vp8]]
- So, to be universally kind is to universally preserve the gift of humanity and their ability to grow based on this belief
In contrast, utilitarianism is valued for the **results** of an action like improving humanity.
And due to the nature of the universality of CI, the same cannot be said for certain actions in utilitarianism.
