With that in mind, I'd like to ask one question: *What is one thing you would like me to go over and showcase?* So far I plan on having a structure like: - Why I use my Obsidian vault and what I've used it for - The over-arching philosophy behind it (not all knowledge or thinking should be treated the same, which calls for the need of note types to systematize the way we manage this knowledge) - Visiting each crucial area and note type in the vault ## The power of a digital galaxy 🌌 As I continue to integrate my galactic aesthetic with the idea of [[Digital Self-Actualization]], I'm trying to creatively illustrate the benefit of having a private place like Obsidian to store your ideas and manage your life. Here is what I have so far: By being on the internet you're exploring the digital universe, a boundless sea of knowledge, data, ecosystems, and other voyagers navigating their own journeys.  But after your explorations, you need a digital home where you can return to nurture your new discoveries and reflect on your experiences. A personal sanctuary of personal significance and purpose protected from the business and noise of external influences. **Your digital galaxy.**  In your digital galaxy, you are the creator building a world shaped by your interests, ambitions, and curiosities. Here, every function and idea serves a specific role in fostering our learning and personal growth. I would love to hear your thoughts 😊 ## Fly faster through my published notes 🚀 I've been spending A LOT of time improving the user experience and navigation for my 2600+ notes in my digital galaxy: - I'm working on making the links in the frontmatter of the note clickable. Sometimes you might see it clickable in the frontmatter itself, sometimes it's clickable with the tabs. Huge shout - I've updated my [welcome page](https://notes.johnmavrick.com) to be easier to follow by making the flow smoother - I've added queries to show what books I have recently read and taken notes on: - [[My Books (By Created Date)]] - [[My Book Applications (By Created Date)]] - I've recently added [[What I am up to now]], which automatically updates and displays the active goals and projects i'm working on. This is based on [[My Alignment Philosophy]], my comprehensive life design system in Obsidian I'm planning on making a 2024 video soon, If you've been taking the time exploring my vault, I hope the above changes make it more convenient 😊 ## Levelling up your periodic reviews in Obsidian 📆 I always found the popular Calendar plugin in Obsidian to be limiting since it only lets you access daily and weekly notes. But recently I've downloaded and set up the Journals Plugin which lets me also quickly access higher-order reviews like monthly, quarterly, and yearly!
