To be one with something. To wish to understand something. [[Philosophy]] is an eros for [[Wisdom]]. It sounds like a powerful illustration of [[Intrinsic motivation]].
This describes our pull to have sex, to be one through intercourse, prevalent in relationships.
Socrates does not know in terms of his wisdom.
Socrates knows erotica/eros, to bind ourselves to things ([[Symbols]]) for [[Self-transcendence]], to complete us. We feel that we are not complete unless we have a significant other.
We have felt eros, but have we tracked it like Socrates in a way where we follow it to prevent straying away from it?
It's important our eros towards things are towards things that are real, unlike the first two stages in [[Kierkegaards three stages of life]].
