> Once we have enough [inputs], then true systems form—ecosystems, forests, planets, universes that allow interesting and unexpected but inevitable [creations]. we don't know what's going to be created but something will. it has to be created… because there are just too many things moving and interacting together in tight spaces

Idea emergence is how we let ideas evolve through [[Linking Your Thinking]]
## Levels
### Level 1
- Turning [[Knowledge Assets]]—external or internal ideas, into tangible [[Conceptual notes]] by creating them from [[Literature notes]]
### Level 2
- [[Making connections between notes]]
### Level 3
- Create and link to higher-order notes, [[Maps of Content (MOC)]]
- First, just link notes to a MOC
- Second, play around with the notes and let your curiosities bring you to unexpected insights and places
- Third, organize them in the MOC itself for future navigation
### Level 4
- Link your newly created MOC and its ideas to other MOCs
- This is where you can practice being a [[Generalist]], opening the gates for different disciplines to communicate with each other
### Level 5
- Connect all these MOCs into your home note, the foundation of your knowledge
- [[My Home]]
- I personally don't really use my home note, but if you're publishing your notes online I think it's essential
