Trying to **exactly** plan how you want your next year, or even quarter can be delusional. Think about the past few goals you've had and how unexpected life events have changed your priorities or added obstacles that foiled your plan on getting there. When I looked at my 2023 goals, they were no longer important to me. This posed two problems: - For the goals that were vague, I had no plan to get there - There was no point in me revisiting my goals because of how disconnected they were to my curent situation That's why I think [[Goals are for clarity]], but the extent we plan the specifics should be in relation to how large the timeframe is. This is why I enjoy [[My Alignment Philosophy]] - different timeframes like yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily recommend me to keep my longer timeframe goals as a vague direction, while my smaller timeframes as concrete [[Tasks]] and actions I can follow.
