### My frugal retirement plan
Assume I had a 50% discretionary spending percentage while on $1000/month, which would put me at
100 / 5.5 = I need 18.18x of my annual expenses to be able to FIRE
$1000 x 12 months = 12000 x 18.18 = $218,160
That would require me to live back with my parents.
### My realistic retirement plan
Realistic monthly expenses would be:
- 1400 rent
- 200 eating out
- 300 groceries
- 300 subscriptions
- 300 misc
- = 2500/mo, 2200 for mandatory, which is only 12% of extra spending ðŸ˜
30k in a year
And lets go for 5.5% withdrawal, 100 / 5.5 = 18.18
And then an extra yearly spending of:
- 3000 vacation
- 3000 tech
- (both leisure)
$9600 is leisure out of 36,000 total = 27% is discretionary spending
26400 is living
26400 x 18.18
That's x 18.18 = 479,952 ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I guess it's better than the usual 1 million, but this would still be frugal.
But this is how much I would need to maintain my income if I had NO extra income on the side.
