## Brainstorming
### Topic
%%What is the big idea you're thinking about? Why are you writing this? %%
How I should price my membership
### References
%%Are there any existing notes, resources, or experiences that come to mind related to the topic? For each thing, why is it related and how can it be helpful? %%

[[Categorical Imperative]]
This made me realize:
- I try to not pay for knowledge or courses, but I am inclined to pay for support and community
There are three levels of investment:
- People who just want to learn from my documentation. This would be free or a tip if they are generous and feel it was useful for shortcutting their own Obsidian setup
- People who watch a video and want to download the templates I show in the vault, but do not have an exact workflow
- This is the current demographic that doesn't have a relevant offer
- People who are all-in on Obsidian and resonate with the functionality or use cases of my vault
- This is what the lifetime USV provides
And as I pivot my channel persona to be more casual and for a different audience, I think the following can be more reasonable:
- $5/mo
- Vault usage examples
- Exclusive discord access
- $10/mo
- Not sure
- $15-20/mo for vault update + support
- Same as above
- Template
- Video support
The question is, what should the price difference be?
$97 for USV lifetime access, $20 for the entire setup (for a month)
I have 166 hours so far on the USV itself ๐คฏ
So $0.12/hour that would be insanely low
But then I would need to add a disclaimer and say to not expect monthly updates
free documentation. can be email course too?
paid 1-month access to template
lifetime vault purchase
### Brain Dump
%%
Write out any other thoughts that come to mind, then create a cognitive scaffolding that combines your references and brain dump.
Break it down into branches and sub-ideas for further elaboration %%
If you truly believed something was worth sharing with a [[Utilitarianism]] mindset, you wouldn't paywall it. You would only paywall it in relation to the resources it also demands of you to share.
