![[USV Workflow Callout]] To create a daily note, you can use the [[Obsidian Journals Plugin]] view on the bottom part of the right sidebar. You can also open command palette and type `today` to run the Journals command that opens today's note. It is mostly explained in [[Daily notes#What]] and the checklist for today ## Accessing daily note Three ways to access: - [[Daily Note Outline Plugin]] pane in the bottom right - Hotkey for `Open today's note` with [[Obsidian Journals Plugin]] ## Filling out the daily log throughout the day - I use a [[QuickAdd Plugin]] to create a capture choice that adds whatever I type as a new bullet at the end of the [[Daily notes#Today]] heading - I use [[Global Hotkeys Plugin]] to make this accessible even when I'm not using Obsidian - Once I'm done I can do the following hotkeys: - `Code Editor Shortcuts: Go to previous heading` will take me to the heading I am in - `Alt+A` - `Copy Block Link: Copy embed to current block or heading` ### Examples - When I create a `Logs` section in my daily note, I ## Potential Revisions (this is for me to look back upon, let me know if any of these sounds useful for you) - For Today header, can turn sections into h5 for folding capabilities? - What if you tried to maintain the notes for the entire day inside the daily journal? - Accomplishments and Obstacles are important imo - Conversations can be moved as headers or nested bullets in today note - I just don't think it feels smooth to have toggleable headers in your daily note though, either you want to organize by temporal or by category - Content log can be a query of inputs created that day?
