From [[Linking Your Thinking]], it stands for Remark, Relate, Reference.
The idea is when you take an individual note, you **remark** about the note topic, **relate** it to a different note, and **reference** where you got the original idea from. ([View Highlight](https://read.readwise.io/read/01h2p8r5qdqjfjc9ag8sxavngv))
I personally like to do Reference first, since that is what sparked the idea in the first place.
## Steps
### Create the note
First, the ideas from the different sources are processed and turned into [[Conceptual notes#Types]]
### Reference
Having a link to the source you got the idea from.
This extends our understanding of the idea, as we take it beyond [[Propositional knowing]]:
- We implement [[Procedural Knowing]] using connections to generate [[Concept models]]
We intertwine it with other ideas to create procedural knowing, and we infuse our own personal experiences to create perspectival knowing.
You can see how I do this in my [[My Inputs Workflow]].
### Remark
A remark is expanding on the new/relevant ideas related to the idea - this could be highlights, personal understandings, etc.
*What did you find personally significant based on your own interpretation? What inside you resurfaced because of it?*
### Relate
Relating is making conceptual links to the existing notes in your vault that relate to it.
