- Made me question when pursuing [[Self-Actualization]] can be more harmful than good
- This is applied to more than just [[Excess positivity]], but t other vices in the world like [[Overstimulation]]:

- This is why humanistic productivity principles promoted by [[Cal Newport]] like [[Deep Work]] and [[My Resources/My MOCs/Slow Productivity|Slow Productivity]] advocate for restrictions and limitations to combat this endless pursuit
- As a result, [[Overstimulation causes us to act animalistic]]
This is dangerous because we are unconsciously damaging ourselves due to our autonomy:

We think we can moderate by looking at signs of friction like how [[Negative emotions are an indicator for needing to change]], but it's easier to be fooled when it is caused by excess positivity since in a capitalist society overworking yourself through [[Hustle Culture]] or other means is respected and at times essential for survival:

As a result, we fail to recognize these warning signs until we've already obtained the consequences.
Reminds me of how the stoics value moderation.
