When your deficiency needs are not met, then it would make more sense for you to focus on survival and use uncontentment to stimulate effort and growth. Overcoming these needs is a neccesity for human survival and flourishment. But once they are met, it's debatable on whether you should continue using it as your primary source. Yes, it is possible to get more motivation and drive from continuously increasing your goals once they are met (see [[Hustle Culture]], but it can lead to [[Chronic stress]] and [[Burnout]] if not careful. But the major reason why I wouldn't recommend it is because you would never be in a state where you are actually happy with your accomplishments, happy with what you have. But when you are safe, you have That's when you can uphold the belief that [[Life is a game]] and value the [[Journey before destination]]. After all, [[Happiness is a choice]]
