### What theme do you use and how do you have that colorful background? I rotate between the following themes: - Minimal dark theme plugin - Main one I use since there's lots of customization like increasing the width of dataview queries to the page width. I personally stay with this one since other themes may not be updated as new features get added to Obsidian. - 80s neon - the OG one I used in my beginning videos, but I also made a cloned version where the background was [pure black](https://github.com/ransurf/obsidian-theme-dark-80s-neon). - Mystical nights - The one I use for [[My Digital Galaxy]] which was sent to me by a generous Subscriber Ashwin :) It's not available publicly but I think it should be under a different theme? [[My translucent background in my videos]] ### What is the reasoning behind the dichotomy between productivity content and your personal branding? **On the choice to be a Vtuber:** Some people may not like it, but I do, and I wouldn't have been as comfortable having a personal brand without it :) I've spent a good amount of time on the internet and technology, which I briefly went over in [[Why I choose to live online]]. Anime-themed productivity may not be the optimal branding strategy for marketing to my natural middle-aged demographic, but it's a way to pay homage to my upbringing and relationship with technology. It gives me a chance to appeal to an audience used to more entertainment-focused content. Not that entertainment is inherently bad, but I hope this spreads awareness for the potential of personal development beyond the more conventional frames of toxic masculinity. Being a Vtuber helps bring life to my content and ideas through my metaphorical connection with space via the [[Digital Galaxy]]. And similar to other faceless educators like CGP Grey, I want people to focus on my ideas rather than my appearance. **On the choice of theme:** The galaxy theme came naturally as I designed [[My Vtuber]] model. Fleshing out my personal brand reminds me of how my experience writing essays in English class. During this time period, I watched some anime like [[Call of the Night]] and enjoyed the aesthetic there, which ended up making me consider it as a potential theme to base my design off of. To expand upon it, I pieced together various inspirations from Genshin Impact and other anime that weren't particularly meaningful to me at the time but were aesthetically pleasing. But as I continued creating content, I began finding my own meaning in the different aspects of my character and space theme. Now, it's the core branding for my community membership tiers, email courses, and my understandings of the world like my [[Digital Galaxy]]. I've realized there are many metaphors in space that relate to the topics I discuss—I'm definitely not the only one as [[Linking Your Thinking]] and [[Danny Hatcher]] seem to have some aspect of it as well, but it's been fun to find my own interpretations and connections nonetheless.
